Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, president of the Military Committee of the Atlantic Alliance, interviewed by the Financial Times. “We are examining everything on the computer front, so to speak reactive,” said Cavo Dragone, adding that “being more aggressive or proactive rather than reactive is something we are thinking about.” The admiral has finally specified that such an option is “more far from our way of thinking”. The president of the Military Committee of the Atlantic Alliance has finally observed that NATO has succeeded in its intention of deterrence with the mission Sentinel del Baltico (Baltic Sentry). From the beginning of the mission, he observed, “nothing happened”.
The words of the admiral aroused the reaction of Moscow, with the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry, Marija Zakharova, who defined the statements on the possibility of a preventive attack “an extremely irresponsible step”.
