MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Pirelli P Zero, available in specific variants for the entire 911 range, now also equips the New Porsche 911 GT3. It does so with two tires, in versions developed ad hoc, able to respond to different needs, the P Zero R and the P Zero Trofeo RS, the latter fruit of the experience matured with the fitment for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, recognized by the international press as the best semi-slick road for use on track. The P Zero R meets the needs of the most performing cars, revealing the ideal choice for all everyday situations. The mix developed for the Porsche GT3 is optimized to offer high performance even in everyday driving. In fact, it ensures excellent adherence to different surfaces, with particular attention to wet behaviour. The P Zero R operates in a wide thermal window, ensuring good performance even in unideal conditions. The differentiated structure between the two axes ensures an ideal balance: increased sensitivity and steering accuracy for front tires, robustness and control on the rear axle, even to manage the high load.
At the top of the P Zero range, the RS Trophy is designed for those looking for maximum track. Among the main strengths, its combination of extreme performance and efficiency: even in the most demanding conditions, it maintains grip and driving accuracy for a long time, allowing the rider to fully exploit the potential of the car. After developing a specific P Zero Trofeo RS for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS at the request of the car manufacturer, Pirelli’s know-how was transferred to the new tyre dedicated to the new Porsche 911 GT3. Despite being a highly specialized product, the P Zero Trofeo RS has found application on different cars with fitment developed ad hoc: from the Porsche GT3 RS – the most extreme of the road range – to the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, high performance electric.
I P Zero R and P Zero Trofeo RS developed specifically for the Porsche 911 GT3 follow the strategy Pirelli Perfect Fit, which is based on the realization of custom tyres for each model. On the side, in fact, they report the marking “N” that testifies the specific development for the 911 GT3: a job that, thanks to the use of advanced virtualization techniques in the R&D centers of Milan Bicocca and Breuberg, has allowed to reduce the development times of the 30%, as well as the use of physical prototypes has reduced by 30%.
