ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “As well as our team, I had a productive discussion with the American side – U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Trump Jared Kushner’s son-in-law and BlackRock Ad Larry Fink. In fact, this could be considered the first meeting of the group that will work on a document concerning the reconstruction and economic recovery of Ukraine.” The Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky writes on X. “We discussed the key elements for resumption, various mechanisms and perspectives for reconstruction. There are many ideas that, with the right approach, could succeed in Ukraine. We also updated our reflections on the 20 points of the framework document to end the war. It is overall security to determine economic security and support a secure business environment. We also agreed to the next contacts between our teams. As always, there will be no delays on our part. We’re working to get results. I thank President Trump and his team for their valuable work and support,” continued Zelensky.
“The 20 points to end the war constitute a fundamental document. We are actively working on key steps, which must be feasible. From this fundamental document, we are developing at least two more. The first concerns security, in particular security guarantees with the United States. The second concerns the economy, and concerns reconstruction and joint investment.” adds Zelensky. “Today we focused specifically on the economic document. The principles of the economic document are absolutely clear and we are fully aligned with the American side on this point. An economic action plan will follow. Europe will also be involved in reconstruction. In the near future, we expect to proceed on the other two documents. Rustem Umerov will continue the talks.”.
