GAZA (ITALPRESS) – The wave of bad weather that fell on the Gaza Strip caused the death of 14 Palestinians in less than 24 hours, as well as causing numerous collapses of buildings in different areas. The authorities of Gaza report it.
Civil Protection reported that six people died in the collapse of a house in the Bir al-Naaja area, in the north of Gaza. Two more people died after the collapse of a wall in the Al-Rimal neighborhood in Gaza City this afternoon, while another person died yesterday following the collapse of a wall in the Shati refugee camp.
Due to lower temperatures, two children died in Gaza City for hypothermia, while yesterday another child had died in Khan Younis due to the cold. Civil Protection teams reported that so far about 15 houses have collapsed throughout the Gaza Strip. The images spread on social media show flooding in areas where displaced tents are located.
