COVENTRY (ITALPRESS) – Land Rover Classic, the official home of restoration and customization of Classic Defender, is now able to create a Classic Defender V8 that combines any combination of colors and finishes identical to those of Defender OCTA – the top of the extreme performance of the unstoppable Defender 4×4 family.
Available in the models 90/110 Station Wagon or 90 Soft Top, this new customization of the Classic Defender V8, inspired by the Defender OCTA, adds five new colours outside its palette: Petra Copper, Faroe Green and Sargasso Blue exclusive OCTA, plus the Narvik Black of the luxurious OCTA Black and Patagonia White. The other Borasco Grey, Carpathian Grey and Charente Grey colours were already available on the Classic Defender V8.
Each Classic Defender V8 spends about 300 hours in paint, from meticulous preparation to color matching and final polishing. All colors are available with a glossy finish or a satin finish specially developed to match the Matte Protecting Film patina as an option of the Defender OCTA.
Also, for the first time on the Classic Defender, the new interior choices paired with Defender OCTA include the lightweight Ultrafabrics PU coatings in Khaki Green, Light Cloud and Lunar, next to the semi-anine skin Burnt Sienna. For matching with Defender OCTA Black, Ebony skin is also available.
Customers can choose the sport seats Recaro heated and finished by hand and work with the design team Land Rover Classic to faithfully replicate the positioning of the color on the steering wheel, the gear lever, the dashboard, the fronts and the finishes of the doors. The other options developed exclusively for the Classic Defender V8 include a Gloss Black radiator grill that reproduces that of the OCTA, which maximizes the air input for optimum cooling, and the script on the hood in Chopped Carbon Fiber.
It is not necessary to own a Defender OCTA to commission a Classic Defender V8 to it combined. With the Land Rover Classic Works Bespoke program, the original manufacturer’s specialist team creates individual custom vehicles. Each of them is based on a donor vehicle of 2012-2016, completely restored, redesigned and updated with a 5.0 liters V8 of 405 horses. All Classic Defender V8 have an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission with sport mode, which ensures brilliant performance and smooth responses.
The driving experience is further improved thanks to the suspension system specially developed with springs, shock absorbers and custom roll bars; complete the whole a revised steering system and brakes with front discs/posters of 335 mm/300 mm and four piston calipers. Options include infotainment updates, a Crystal Lighting Pack and five styles of the circles in 11 different finishes, including 16′′ and 18′′′ versions, as well as ready accessories for adventure and exclusive customization.
