Pentathlon modern, the FIPM stars of 2025 awarded in Rome

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The blue pentathlon celebrates a 2025 rich in novelties, successes and changes. The Italian Pentathlon Modern Federation was found in Rome for “The Stars of Pentathlon”, an evening to retrace the vintage that opened the doors to the Olympic quadriennium of Los Angeles 2028, and celebrate the goals of its athletes. At the Circolo del Tennis del Foro Italico, awarded all athletes who in 2025 brought the modern Italian pentathlon to international leaders. To award on stage the leadership of the Federation, from President Gabriele Vescio to Vice President Pierluigi Giancamilli, but also athlete like the twice champion of the world Elena Micheli. “It is a great responsibility and a great honor to represent the Federation – said President Vescio -. It is essential to celebrate the victories of athletes, if there were not them, the Federation would not exist and it is right to be rewarded for their successes. It was a complex year for the federation, but the great results that allow us to place ourselves within the sports world with a primary role.”.

Many young people awarded on stage by number one of the Federation: “The premises are auspicious for Los Angeles 2028 – Vescio said –. But we must not rush them, let them grow with their times.” Among the winners, also Aurora Tognetti and Giorgio Malan, fresh to win the Italian championship in early December. “To have come to touch that dream was beautiful, but clearly it did not end there – said Malan talking about the bronze at the Paris Games 2024 -. I still love doing this sport, I like it and enjoy it, and it’s the most important thing. I like to always look at the future to do even better.” Tognetti spoke about the following year: “The 2025 as the year of my rebirth? In fact, there has always been a great job, I was just waiting for the right time to express myself to the best.”.

Celebrated, then, the blues of Parapentathlon, which in 2025 wrote important pages of the history of discipline in Italy, in the presence of the president of the Cip, Marco Giunio De Sanctis. “Your is a great discipline – he said – Ours is a world with an incredible question, and so many sports are born in the paralympic field. We have to structure ourselves, but we are moving forward with great enthusiasm a protocol of understanding, and I am sure that this road will soon lead you to be recognized as a paralympic discipline: this is our purpose”, he concluded.
