Pope “Finding peace solutions to wars that bloody the world”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Pope Francis has returned to call for everything to be done to end the wars “that are bloodying the world.” “I think of the tormented Ukraine, of Myanmar, I think of the Middle East. So many innocent victims. I think of the mothers who have lost their children in wars. How many young lives cut short,” the Holy Father said at the Sunday Angelus in St. Peter’s Square. “I pray for the victims and continue to be close to all the families of the hostages. May the conflict in Palestine and Israel cease. May the violence, the hatred cease and may the hostages be released and negotiations continue to find a peace solution,” concluded the pontiff, who also addressed thoughts to the people of Vietnam and Myanmar “who are suffering from flooding caused by a violent typhoon. I pray for the deceased, the injured, the displaced. May God support those who have lost loved ones and homes.” Finally, recalling that today in Italy is the day of Sla patients, he assured “a remembrance for them in my prayers, for their families and I encourage the work of research on this pathology and voluntary associations.”
