Farnesina, the U.S. sells down duties on Italian pasta

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The U.S. Department of Commerce has announced some evaluations in the night – in advance regarding the conclusion of the investigation expected for March 11 – in relation to the antidumping duties on some Italian pasta brands. “The post-preliminary analysis in fact – reads in a note from the Farnesina – reterminates significantly lower the rates fixed provisionally on 4 September: from 91,74%, the duties pass to 2.26% for La Molisana, to 13.98% for Garofalo and 9.09% for the other 11 non-season producers.” “Redetermination of duties is a sign of the recognition of the effective will to cooperate with our companies by the US authorities. It is also a sign of the effectiveness of the support provided by the Farnesina and the Government from the beginning and that we intend to continue to ensure in view of the final decisions”, the note concludes.
