Bayer celebrates 125 years of history in Italy

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – The 19th century had not yet ended when Bayer landed in Italy; since then the marriage between Bayer and the nation has been among the strongest. “We wanted to dedicate our corporate 2024 campaign to this historic anniversary, which intends to unite Bayer with the local territory in an immediate way, thus expressing a strong concept of Italianness,” says Fabio Minoli, director of external relations for Bayer Italia. The creativity – developed in collaboration with YAM112003 – aims to combine Bayer’s traditional logo with the green, white and red colors that make up the Italian flag and represent, at the same time, the three sectors in which the Group operates: agriculture, self-medication drugs represented by pills (this year also marks Aspirin’s birthday) and red biotech, the promising new frontier of life-saving medicines.Artificial Intelligence was used to create the images that make up the anniversary figure “125” with the colors of the tricolor, in order to achieve a perfect balance between the brief and the readability of the resulting numbers. The declination of the campaign was entrusted to EssenceMediacom with a rich and diversified media plan, which includes national web magazines, the most followed breaking news platforms, social media, trade publications and newspapers in more than 50 Italian cities to ensure a widespread diffusion of the message and reach farmers, doctors, pharmacists and, above all, citizens all over the country.Bayer Italy achieves about one billion in sales with more than 1,200 employees. The historic Milan headquarters building in Viale Certosa, the commercial headquarters of the three divisions – Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health and Crop Science – is joined in the hinterland by the pharmaceutical plant in Garbagnate Milanese, among the most advanced in the world, which specializes in the production and packaging of drugs in solid form, tablets and microcapsules distributed both in Italy and abroad. For the agriculture area, Bayer Italia has research and development centers throughout the country and a production center in the province of Ancona.
