CRANS MONTANA (SVIZZERA) (ITALPRESS) – “We apologize to all mourning and suffering families.” So the deputy mayor of Crans Montana, Nicole Bonvin Clivaz, ten days from the New Year’s tragedy to “Le Constellation”, recognized the errors and shortcomings of the Municipality that the ongoing investigation will have to clarify. These words, spoken during an interview with the Swiss broadcaster RTS, also come as a result of the controversy for the missed excuses of the mayor, Nicolas Feraud, at the press conference on January 6. “Today is the time to apologize: sometimes, in the mouth of the moment, you are inflated – he explained – it is not common to live a situation like this. It really took so much courage to face it. And we will need it again.” Bonvin Clivaz has therefore recognized the responsibilities of the Municipality, in particular for the lack of control in the local since 2020. “We are responsible for this supervision – he admitted –. The investigation will tell us why these shortcomings have occurred. At the moment we have no real answers.”.
No hypothesis of resignation of the City Council on the horizon. “The question is completely out of discussion, indeed. We are working tirelessly – said the deputy mayor –. We receive offensive emails every day in the City Council. But it’s understandable, it’s normal. We’ll fix it. We made a mistake, now we will do the right thing.”.
