CATANIA (ITALPRESS) – Delta Air Lines will launch a new nonstop flight between Catania and New York-JFK next summer. The award-winning U.S. airline will operate the direct connection between the two cities on a daily basis, starting May 22, 2025. The new flight will also offer passengers the opportunity to continue their travel with connecting flights via Delta’s New York-JFK hub to destinations throughout North America. “In 2025, Italy will record by far the most international growth for Delta than any other transatlantic market we serve,” said Matteo Curcio, Delta’s senior vice president for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. “We are very happy to arrive in Sicily and become the first U.S. airline to connect Catania to the United States, offering an even wider choice of destinations throughout the U.S., while supporting the local economy and offering more opportunities to American tourists who wish to visit Italy. “The new Catania-New York route represents a milestone for the development of our airport and for the whole of Sicily.
