ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Jens Pii Olesen is the new General Manager of Novo Nordisk Italia. Olesen, 57, born and raised in Denmark, married with two children, graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the Copenhagen Business School and then followed executive courses at Harvard Business School. Novo Nordisk Italia announces it, underlining that Olesen “has accepted this new challenge after more than 25 years of career in Novo Nordisk and brings in Italy an expert leadership oriented to innovation with a strategic vision, experience in product launch and proven ability to drive growth and transformation.” Olesen began his professional career in Novo Nordisk in 2000 as Product Manager Diabetes in the Swedish headquarters, and then took over roles of increasing regional and global responsibility, including three as General Manager. In his most recent role as Head of Cardio Metabolic Marketing in International Operations, he successfully restructured the marketing approach for obesity and diabetes and set up a solid pre-launch and launch process, speeding up the immissions on the market. Previously he led Turkey as General Manager, accelerating sales growth and increasing the profitability of the affiliate.
