ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In implementation of the determinations taken by the Provincial Committee for the Order and Public Security, the financiers of the Provincial Command of Rome have carried out an extraordinary service of control of the territory in the area adjacent to the Termini Station, in collaboration with the Carabinieri and the Questura of Rome.
The activities involved the quadrilateral between via Giolitti, via Cavour, via Massimo D’Azeglio and via Amendola. As part of the interforge device, the Guardia di Finanza has operated with specific reference to the economic-financial profiles, the Carabinieri’s Army has ensured the control of the territory and the profiles of order and public security, while the Rome Police Department – Immigration Office, in close operational agreement, has treated the identification of the subjects and the verification of the actual regularity of the position on the national territory of the non-communicipal citizens.
In particular, three distinct interventions were carried out in the counterfeiting sector, which allowed more than 6 million items to be seized, including jewellery and clothing items exposed to the sale, counterfeit results. For such conduct, three subjects were reported to the Judiciary Authority. In the same operating context, approximately 3,000 gadgets and articles of jewellery for sale in violation of product safety regulations have also been confiscated, by administrative means, with an administrative penalty of EUR 3.098.
The control activity was also aimed at non-hotel accommodation, where administrative irregularities were found. In particular, a residence has been sanctioned for the installation of 25 beds in excess of what is authorized by the Certified Report of Start Activities, with an administrative sanction of 16,666,50 euros. A further structure was sanctioned for failure to comply with the provisions on fire signs, amounting to 666.60 euros.
In the course of fiscal and labour controls, a traveling clothing seller was sanctioned for the biennial verification of the telematic recorder, with a penalty between 250 and 2,000 euros, the amount of which will be determined by the Revenue Agency. In addition, two irregular workers were identified at a commercial level, resulting in the process of suspension of business.
The operation is part of the plan of strengthening controls in the sensitive areas of the Capital, aimed at ensuring the economic security of citizens, the protection of legality and the market, fair competition and the safeguarding of the enterprises that operate correctly.
