ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In November Istat estimates that the seasonal index of industrial production increases by 1.5% compared to October. On average September-November the level of production grew by 1.1% compared to the previous three months. The monthly seasonal index shows increases in all major groupings of industries with positive changes in energy (+3.9%), capital goods (+2.1%), consumer goods (+1.1%) and, marginally, for intermediate goods (+0.1%). Net of the calendar effects, in November 2025 the general index increased by 1.4% (the calendar working days were 20, as in November 2024). Positive tendencies for instrumental goods (+3.3%), energy (+2.0%) and intermediate goods (+1.0%); decrease, however, slightly consumption goods (-0.8%).
The sectors of economic activity that record the most tendential increases are the production of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (+8.7%), the manufacture of computers, electronics and optical products, electromedical devices, measuring devices and watches (+5.8%) and the manufacture of electrical equipment and non-electric household equipment (+5.1%). Larger yields are found in the manufacture of refined coke and petroleum products (-4.4%), in the manufacture of transport (-3.1%) and in the manufacture of chemical products (-2.9%).
