Aicher wins the Tarvisio super-G, Goggia closes sixth

TARVISIO (ITALPRESS) – The Tarvisio weekend, valid for the World Cup 2025/2026 of women’s alpine skiing, closes with the victory of Emma Aicher in Super G. a risk that pays, giving Aicher the fourth career success, the second in Super G (first season in the specialty). 1’14′′04 the time of Aicher, which regulates for 27 cents the American Lindsey Vonn, which confirms an almost surprising continuity of results: For the 41-year-old champion, it is the seventh podium in eight seasonal races. To complete the podium is the Czech Ester Ledecka, which with the pectoral number 15 closes third to 0′′94 and returns on the podium exactly a year after the last time, from the descent of St. Anton.

As for the Italians, the best is Sofia Goggia, which ends in sixth place paying 1′′13 detachment: “In the jump in the second sector I took too much direction and went too far left, that error cost me the podium – he explained to the microphones of Rai Sport -. In general it was a solid test, I also had fun, sinned for those four tenths I left there.”.

Tenth place at 1′′′26 for Laura Pirovano, descended with pectoral number 1: “With this number I always make a little effort – he admitted the 28-year-old blue –. In my opinion, I didn’t ski badly, in some places I could dare more but given my condition I felt like doing this, looking for a solid ski and preserving energies.” Immediately behind him, eleventh, Roberta Melesi, who said “content, I did a good performance. Unfortunately there is always that piece of plan that spoils me everything, in two tenths they dance so many positions”.

At points also Elena Curtoni, 16^ to 1′′′63, and Sara Allemand, who goes to points for the second time in season (and in career) thanks to the 28th place to 2′′′10. They remain dry, instead, Nadia Delago (39^ to 2′′56) and Sara Thaler (43^ to 2′′77), besides Nicol Delago, who after the victory of yesterday downhill commits a mistake after a few doors and exits of track.

Also worth noting is the runway exit of Alice Robinson, protagonist of a bad fall after going to bang against the last door; the New Zealander loses the head of the specialty classification in favor of Sofia Goggia, which now commands with 200 points ahead of Vonn (190) and Robinson (180). The speed will return in two weeks on the weekend of Crans-Montana, with the descent of 30 January and the Super G of 31.
