BRUSSELS (BELGIUM) (ITALPRESS) – The European Union must be ready to respond to US threats of new duties using “all the tools it has available”, including anti-coercion. The French Finance Minister Roland Lescure said this, speaking on the edge of the Eurogroup in Brussels.
Lescure, interviewed with the German homologue Lars Klingbeil, noted that both agree that “we are in an unexplored territory”, where an ally uses duties “as a geopolitical weapon”. France and Germany, Lescure concluded, agree on the need “to react quickly and decisively”.
