A big leap to support child care

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Freestyle motocross champion Vanni Oddera will be the star of an event in Milan. A performance titled ‘The Big Jump’ that will bring all his energy to Piazza Duca d’Aosta on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 2 to 6 p.m., kicking off the fundraiser by Fondazione Mediolanum and Noverim Srl in favor of the Istituto Giovanna Gaslini Children’s Hospital for Mototherapy Research. The event-organized by Stefano Gabbrielli’s Enic Meetings & Events, a company that has been organizing events all over the world since 1964-is part of the Municipality of Milan’s call for proposals for the valoùrization of one of the city’s most strategic spots. After a series of initiatives dedicated to entertainment, sports, fun and sharing, “The Big Jump” adds new value to the schedule of Piazza Duca d’Aosta with a strong social impact. For Grandi Stazioni Retail, hosting the event represents a further step in the mission of urban and social regeneration of the stations. It is yet another opportunity for young people, adults and families to reappropriate an important place for the community, in safety, contributing to make Milan even more welcoming, accessible and sensitive. Starting October 31 and until November 30, it will then be possible to donate and contribute to the research of the Gaslini Hospital in Genoa with the aim of continuing studies on mototherapy and arriving at a protocol that can also be exported to other realities for therapeutic purposes. As the promoters of the Milan event emphasize, mototherapy is not just a time for play, but a true complementary therapy that, thanks to contact with motorcycles and interaction with the riders, helps reduce pain, stress and anxiety, promoting a more serene approach to treatment. Freestyle Hospital, a project born at the Gaslini Hospital in Genoa in 2013, from the idea of Vanni Oddera, brings mototherapy inside hospitals to offer children and young people the chance to live a unique and therapeutic experience. The goal is to improve the quality of life of young patients by creating a positive environment and promoting socialization. Activities on the ward include meetings with children, gift-giving and acrobatic performances. The young patients then have the opportunity to ride on motorcycles, experiencing an unforgettable thrill.Vanni Oddera since 2023 has been appointed “Gaslini Ambassador” for the great work of proximity, promotion and fundraising done in recent years for the Genoese children’s hospital. The first 20,000 euros raised will be doubled by Fondazione Mediolanum Ente Filantropico and Noverim S.r.l Società Benefit operating in the financial sector and strongly committed to this project, and will be disbursed to Gaslini Hospital through Gaslininsieme Ets with the goal, together, of enabling research to make a great leap forward.
