A patient at the Sant’Andrea hospital in Rome tries to kill the roommate, arrested

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – On Saturday evening, around 23:00, the lanes of the Sant’Andrea hospital were the scene of a night of madness that required the urgent intervention of the Carabinieri of the Roma Tomba Station of Nerone. A 43-year-old Indian citizen, admitted to the gastroenterology department, suddenly gave in escandescences escaping, for reasons still unknown, against his roommate, a 84-year-old Roman.

The attack was of unheard of violence: the man began to percuate the elder, then trying to suffocate him with bare hands while he was in bed. Only the timely intervention of the medical staff, who heard the noise coming from the room, interrupted the delittuosa action saving life to the elderly.7

Upon the arrival of the Carabinieri, called to sedate the situation that in the meantime had degenerated involving also the relatives of the victim, the 43-year-old hurled violently against the military, attacking them and pushing them in an attempt to oppose the arrest. As a result of the colluctation, the Carabinieri reported some injuries, being promptly medicated at the same nosocomium. The man was blocked and translated to the surrounding house of Regina Coeli. He will have to respond to attempted murder and resistance to official public.
