A restored Maserati 3500GT stars at Rètromobile

MODENA (ITALPRESS) – An example of a Maserati 3500GT restored by carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, thanks to the support of the Maserati Classiche department of the House of the Trident, which guarantees its Restoration Certification and Certificate of Authenticity, is making a fine showing under the spotlight of Rètromobile 2025. The Maserati 3500GT on display at the French show is a particular 1959 example originally intended for the California market and with an extraordinary heritage, having been owned by the Dodge family for decades. Now the car has been finely restored in a true tribute to the Italian spirit. This unique example is complete with all original functional elements, and the vehicle’s proven historical continuity has been carefully maintained, ensuring a unique and authentic identification.Completely restored in Touring Superleggera’s workshop, this iconic grand tourer has been meticulously restored to its original splendor by the renowned Milanese coachbuilder, with technical and documentary support from Maserati Classiche.The Restoration Assistance Service has verified and validated every component of the vehicle, including chassis, engine, engine compartment and transmission. Also ascertained suspension, brakes, wheels and tires. Also inspected and authenticated were the bodywork, interior and exterior, colors and materials, as well as the electrical system and all accessories.At the same time, the exceptional craftsmanship and value embedded in Touring Superleggera’s restoration services were recognized. At the end of this journey, the 3500GT was awarded the Certification of Authenticity by Maserati Classiche, after undergoing more than 300 technical verifications compared with the Historic Archives to ensure its conformity to the original drawings.Through the activities of the Maserati Classiche Program, the department of the House of the Trident protects and promotes the preservation and originality of its automotive heritage with an exclusive assistance service, dedicated to customers and collectors of the marque, which also includes a Certification of Authenticity process.The Certification process is guaranteed by a committee composed of experts and involves Maserati cars more than 20 years old, as well as special series, including those of the recent past such as the MC12 or the limited series of Quattroporte. Also included in the program is the possibility of car maintenance, to which is added an “on-demand” Car Detailing service carried out in-house. By the side of collectors and customers, the program ensures a service to support the preservation of the cars and the restoration of every detail in accordance with the original.A dedicated service plan allows owners of Classiche, Youngtimer and Speciali cars to be followed in the various maintenance or restoration operations. Maserati Classiche’s primary tasks also include the production of spare parts that are no longer available on the market, following the indications of the original drawings, using the best technologies available today, improving reliability and functionality of the parts without altering their aesthetic appearance.
