ROMA (ITALPRESS) – On 15 December is the National Day of Universal Civil Service, officially established by the President of the Council of Ministers of 11 December 2020. On the occasion of this meeting, the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, in collaboration with the Department for Youth Policies and the Universal Civil Service, launches the new communication campaign entitled “Who Are You”, designed to give value to each individual volunteer operator, focusing on the stories, skills and unique contribution that each young person brings in the social and territorial contexts in which he works.
This year’s celebrations will take place in a new and engaging way: a podcast, together with the team of Skuola.net, has been created, which with the involvement of young volunteer operators and their peers of the “Gen Z”, like Jolanda Renga, Gaia Contu and Noemi David, aims to make known the value of this experience and the opportunities it offers.
“The Civil Service confirms an important opportunity of civic commitment and personal growth for almost 60 thousand young people in Italy and abroad who have deep roots and continues to generate benefits for young people, territories and Italy all – declares the Minister for Sport and Youth, with delegation to the Universal Civil Service, Andrea Abodi -. A year in which young people experience the value of social commitment, but also the importance of gaining useful competence to address more awareness of the successive steps of life, work and study thanks also to the reserve of 15% of places in public competitions for those who positively concluded the Service”. “To further strengthen the universal civil service and allow an ever greater number of girls and boys to access this important opportunity – continues Abodi – the budget law provides for an additional 50 million euros appropriation that is added to the 300 annuals already allocated to us in the three-year plan, confirming the will of the government chaired by Giorgia Meloni to invest on young people and their active participation in the life of the nation”
“I also wish to thank today, on the occasion of the National Day of the Civil Service, all volunteer operators currently engaged in its development – the Minister concludes – but also all those who make it possible to implement it and all the members of the SCU branch, thanks to which Italy today enjoys a network of local service and a spectrum of opportunities of very high level for our children”.
