PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – “What perhaps has not been understood, by some economic operators, is that these Olympic Games and Paralympics will have about 2 billion viewers. It is a promotion campaign in the world, with unimaginable and inquantifiable opportunities in economic terms. So I do not understand the controversy, obviously there are entrepreneurs who have a long-term vision and entrepreneurs who think day after day. We will try to understand that it will be better than before.” This was said by the Minister for Sport, Andrea Abodi, visiting this morning at the Skatepark in Via Guido Rossa, in the Bonagia district, in Palermo, together with the mayor Roberto Lagalla, talking about the concerns of the hoteliers for the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics.
“Our commitment is to ensure that the Olympics and Paralympics are organized in the best possible way and are welcoming – he continued –. We expect almost 2 million people, in the Olympic perimeter of 22 thousand kilometers. On the one hand we must do our duty and on the other we must forget the skeptics. I am convinced that they will be Olympics of great charm, they will leave important legacy, even in terms of sports facilities: Cortina is one of the emblems with the bob track and toboggan stairs that will bring about the vigour at the Italian school of these disciplines,” concludes Abodi.
