PESCARA (ITALPRESS) – The students of Abruzzo from high schools, with Isee up to 35 thousand euros and without insufficiency, will be able to study abroad thanks to a regional contribution that reaches up to 15 thousand euros. The Notice of the Region was published today, which puts in place a total of 1 million euros to finance periods of study outside Italy, also for the entire school year. “With the announcement that we publish today we want to give our boys the opportunity to confront other educational realities, know new cultures and acquire skills that will be precious in their future”, says the regional Councillor for Education Roberto Santangelo.
“In investing in international mobility means investing in the training, autonomy and opportunities of young people in Abruzzo. And with this intervention we want to make sure that family income is not an obstacle,” he adds. The voucher covers the next school year and is addressed to students who attend the second class in the case of high school and four-year institutes, or the third class, in other secondary schools.
The measure finances the period abroad to be carried out in the school year 2027/2028, corresponding to the third year for the four-years and the fourth year for the other addresses. To participate you must attend a state or parity school with registered office in Abruzzo, have an Isee 2026 not exceeding 35 thousand euros and have not reported insufficiencies at the end of the school year 2025/2026. The route can be done both in a country of the European Union and in a non-European State, through programs organized by the school or by specialized bodies, but also with autonomous solutions for school and accommodation.
The contribution can reach 15 thousand euros per student, but it will not be an automatic check: the expenses actually incurred and documented will be refunded. The voucher will cover the costs of the school or the study program, the trip, the accommodation with meals included, insurance, educational material, cultural activities and educational mentoring. To submit the application to the Region will not be directly the student, but the school. The institutions will collect events of interest, verify the requirements and form the ranking on the basis of the growing Isee. At the same time Isee will count the school merit, with the average of the final votes (excluding conduct, religion and alternative activity). In case of further equality, the youngest student will be favored.
Applications may be submitted from 15 October to 3 November 2026, exclusively via telematics through the digital door of the Region. As part of a procedure, eligible applications will be financed according to the chronological order of presentation, up to the exhaustion of available resources: the families concerned will have to move for a long time and turn to their school.
“The voucher – explains the Councillor Santangelo – will be delivered through the school institution, with an advance of 80% and a balance of 20% linked to the final statement of expenses. The benefit may decline in case of renunciation, failure to leave, change of school before departure, failure to complete the route or early return without an objective and justified motivation. ”
In case of revocation, the sums already paid may be requested back. An investment of 1 million euros, therefore, to bring Abruzzo into the classrooms of the world and allow more boys to transform an international experience into a concrete piece of their future.
