Air Serbia’s third long-haul plane arrives in Belgrade

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Air Serbia’s third Airbus A330-200 wide-body, registered as YU-ARD and branded EXPO 2027, has been welcomed at Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport. The aircraft is intended for long-haul flights operated by the Serbian national airline, and its unique appearance promotes the upcoming EXPO 2027 trade fair to be held in Belgrade between May 15 and August 15, 2027. “The expansion of the network of long-haul destinations is closely linked to the development of a fleet of aircraft capable of operating these flights,” says Jiri Marek, CEO of Air Serbia. “We have been operating connections to North America and the People’s Republic of China with two Airbus A330-200s, and now a new aircraft of the same type strengthens our fleet. In anticipation of the upcoming EXPO 2027 exhibition and with the desire to help promote this important event for the Republic of Serbia and the entire region, we decided to present the visual identity of this exhibition through Air Serbia’s third wide-body aircraft. We expect another similar aircraft to join our fleet by the end of 2024, branded in the same way. From Chicago and New York, in the West, to Tianjin and Guangzhou, in the East, the national airline’s aircraft will present Serbia and EXPO 2027 to the world public. “Air Serbia’s third wide-body aircraft was produced in 2014 and has 22 business class and 240 economy class seats, Rolls-Royce engines with a thrust of 71,100 N, a wingspan of 60 meters, and a length of about 59 meters. It can fly at a maximum altitude of 41,450 feet.
