Alemanno “With Trump president we can get out of Europe”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Yes we can, Barack Obama’s old slogan will be used in our campaign to leave the European Union. It is no longer an impossible path, but a real opportunity after the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States and the emergence of the Brics in the multipolar world. But it is also a necessity, because the new austerity imposed by Germany, the green transition, the obstacles to the repatriation of irregular migrants, the stubbornness in continuing the war in Ukraine, the tariffs that will be imposed by the U.S. and China against the EU, risk dragging Italy into an irreversible economic, political and financial crisis. That is why we launch an appeal to the Prime Minister, the government and Parliament to open a comprehensive dispute with the institutions of the European Union, following the example of Margaret Thatcher’s rebate in 1984. A dispute that starts from our status as a net contributor country to the EU and from the pre-eminence of our constitutional norms over the European Treaties, by unbundling from the European Stability Pact all the expenditures necessary to guarantee the social rights provided for in our Charter.” Thus Gianni Alemanno, secretary of the Independence Movement. “Equally all those EU regulations on the green transition, the Bolkestein directive, health regulations that impose vaccination campaigns and educational regulations that promote gender theories must be rejected. Sanctions and arms supplies that are engaging Italy on the front lines of the conflict in Ukraine must be lifted, instead of working with the new Trump Administration and the Brics countries to reach a rapid ceasefire. On this negotiating basis, the Italian government can build a radical clarification with the European Union that leads to the substantial overcoming of this supranational bureaucracy or to Italy’s unilateral exit This appeal is the beginning of a major mobilization of the Independence Movement to get Italy to take the same path that led Britain out of the EU, a mobilization on which we call all Italian sovereignist political forces. On November 30 at the Gregorian University in Rome, the Independence Movement has organized a large demonstration to involve the citizenry in this battle,” Alemanno concluded.(ITALPRESS).-Photo: Agenzia Fotogramma-
