ROMA (ITALPRESS) – K Group, owner of Antenna Group, announced the acquisition of 100% Gedi from Exor. The operation includes the daily newspaper la Repubblica, radio brands Radio Deejay, Radio Capital, m2o, along with HuffPost Italia, National Geographic Italia, Limes and the advertising dealer Manzoni. It does not include La Stampa, which has been the subject of an agreement for sale to the Sae Group. At the same time, an agreement is planned for the sale of Stardust, which is excluded from the scope of the operation. Antenna Group plans to invest new and significant resources to expand the spread of the Republic and enhance the work of journalists. He also intends to further develop Gedi’s radio business, creating an important radio hub in the Mediterranean.
The company wants to invest in Italian journalism and strengthen the role of Italy as a protagonist in the panorama of information and entertainment. Following the completion of the operation, Mirja Cartia d’Asero will assume the role of managing director of the Gedi group. Mario Orfeo will continue to play his role in the leadership of the Republic, ensuring editorial and management continuity, while Linus will remain in charge of radio activities.
