CATANIA (ITALPRESS) – ARNAS Garibaldi in Catania took part in the activities of the Legal Clinic of Labour Law promoted by the Department of Law, in the framework of the initiatives of Third Mission aimed at enhancing knowledge and strengthening the social impact of the University on the territory.
The company’s participation, explains a note, “is part of a path of institutional collaboration aimed at fostering dialogue between the academic world and the healthcare system, contributing to the spread of the culture of legality and the promotion of good practices in the management of working relationships and professional responsibilities”.
During the course of the activity, ARNAS Garibaldi has undergone the attention of the Clinic a particularly complex affair, characterized by the interweaving of medical responsibility, ascertainment of the criminal responsibility of the health, civil responsibility of the structure and disciplinary responsibility of the doctor.
The analysis of the case, developed with the involvement of students, teachers and professionals, has allowed to deepen the different levels of responsibility, highlighting the specificities and reciprocal interactions.
In particular, the specific criteria for the investigation of criminal and civil judgment were examined, as well as the profiles related to the exercise of disciplinary power by the Company, even in the light of the results of judicial proceedings.
The teaching activities were conducted by Carmelo Ferrara, administrative director of ARNAS Garibaldi, Santo Bonanno, director of the Garibaldi-Centro Emergency Office, Daniele Sorelli, director of the UOS of Internationalization, and Giorgia Fallica, who shared professional skills and experiences offering a contribution of high educational value. ARNAS Garibaldi was hosted by Loredana Zappalà, Associate Professor of Labour Law.
The initiative, we read again, has represented an important opportunity to discuss issues of high legal and organizational importance, combining theoretical study with the analysis of concrete cases, with a view to mutual growth between institutions.
Through the participation in the Legal Clinic, ARNAS Garibaldi “confirms its commitment to the promotion of training, innovation and collaboration with the university world, recognizing the strategic value of such synergies for the continuous improvement of the quality of services and for the protection of rights in the health system”, the note concludes.
