TORINO (ITALPRESS) – The State Police has arrested a Brazilian naturalized Italian, 41 years old, latitante for a long time and sought internationally for sexual violence consumed in the country of origin in harm of minor. The capture was carried out by the police officers of the Turin Mobile Team on the signal and impulse of the Service for International Police Cooperation that has conveyed a request in this sense of the Brazilian judicial authority. On the wanted one, he sentenced 20 years of imprisonment inflicted by the Penal Tribunal of the district of São Paulo for the crime of “stupro of vulnerable people”. The continuous sexual abuse – committed in Brazil – and, in particular, between the walls of common family homes, has been protracted for a period from 2012 to 2018. The man had taken advantage of the relationship with the parents of the victims who, on several occasions, had entrusted him with the girls.
The localization of the latitante is the result of a complex info-investigative activity developed within the framework of the “Wanted” Project, promoted and coordinated by the Central Operating Service of the State Police also in collaboration with the International Police Cooperation Service, which saw the Turin Mobile Team engaged in targeted research initiatives. Thus, at the outcome of pawning and staging services, obtained the certainty of the identity of the complainant, in the afternoon of 30 December decided to intervene blocking the man in the parking of a supermarket in the municipality of Cuorgnè (TO). Following the arrest, the researcher was accompanied in the Ivrea prison available to the Attorney General at the Court of Appeal of Turin competent for the next extraditional delivery procedure to Brazil. The Judiciary Authority has validated the arrest by disposing the precautionary custody in prison for the latizer.
