MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Egypt participated in the 46th edition of the Milan International Tourism Exchange, where the general consul, ambassador Walid Othman, inaugurated the pavilion. At the opening ceremony and the inauguration of the Egyptian pavilion, the general director of the general administration of the Foreign Offices of the Tourist Office, Ismail Abdel Hamid Amer, members of the EgyptAir office in Milan and numerous representatives of Egyptian tourist companies.
The consul affirmed that the opening of the Egyptian pavilion is part of the national efforts to promote the Great Egyptian Museum, inaugurated in November 2025, and also to promote travel along the path of the Holy Family in Egypt and to agree on the organization of tourist trips from Italy and from other European countries to El Alamein, as part of the start of direct flights.
The Egyptian pavilion has registered a wide range of visitors and representatives of Italian tourist companies to the exhibition, thanks to the many possibilities and tourist resources of Egypt. The Egyptian consul has emphasized that the presence to important tourist events such as the Bit of Milan and the International Exhibition of Tourism of Rimini, serve to make known to Italian tourists the Egyptian products and tourist destinations and their willingness to host tourists from all over the world. This year Egypt participated in the Milan fair with a 120 square meter pavilion that included the Tourist Promotion Board, representatives of six Egyptian tourist companies and representatives of five hotels. There were also a separate pavilion for EgyptAir and another for Air Cairo.
