LECCE (ITALPRESS) – Lecce does it all (or almost), winning a precious victory in view of salvation: 2-1 for Marco Giampaolo’s team at the Via del Mare, with goals from Tete Morente and Krstovic – who had earlier failed a penalty kick – interspersed with Dorgu’s own goal. Monza did poorly, last in the company of Venezia, while the Salentini momentarily hooked Roma at 16.It only took three minutes for Lecce to take the lead, with Berisha’s suggestion for Morente, who slipped past the Brianza defense and beat Turati. Giallorossi advantage that at 13′ could become double, on Bianco’s hold against Dorgu that is worth the penalty in favor of the Salentini, then not materialized by Krstovic, hypnotized in the dive by Turati. Episode that shakes Monza: at 23′, cross from the left by Birindelli for the tap-in by Maldini, who cuts in at the first post but puts out the ball of the possible 1-1. Even that would come, however, at 37′, on the misunderstanding between Falcone and Dorgu, with the latter misplaying a ball in mid-air and heading it over his goalkeeper, causing the resounding own goal of the momentary 1-1. Before halftime, however, Lecce put its head back in front: cleverly Pierotti turned a tricky ball into an assist for Krstovic, who a beautiful right-footed shot made up for his mistake from the penalty spot. Monza tries to get back up: goal cancelled to Bianco for offside, then “dreams” of a penalty for Guilbert’s hand touch that, however, is judged out of the area by the Var. Giampaolo and Nesta shuffle the cards: Lecce manages to manage the various opponent assaults and restart while the final forcing of the Brianzoli, increasingly in the danger zone, is useless; Giampaolo smiles, at the second victory of his management.
