Bagnaia wins Sprint Barcelona, World Championship is decided tomorrow

BARCELONA (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – Francesco Bagnaia, riding the Ducati Lenovo, won the Sprint Race of the Barcelona Grand Prix and thus postpones the world celebration of Jorge Martin, third at the finish line. The rider from Chivasso, starting from the pole, managed to maintain the leadership of the race from start to finish. We will, therefore, have to wait for tomorrow’s race to know the name of the new world champion: the two contenders are now separated by nineteen points. The reigning world champion managed to nibble a few points off his rival thanks also to the second position of Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo). Third, then, Martin (Ducati Prima Pramac), after being overtaken on the last lap by Bastianini himself. Fourth place for Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia); fifth, instead, Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini). In order, Franco Morbidelli, Marc Marquez, Marco Bezzecchi, Brad Binder and Fabio Quartararo complete the top ten. The long race is scheduled for tomorrow at 14.- Photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
