Bankitalia-Ministry of Education for the Promotion of Financial Education in Schools

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Bank of Italy and the Ministry of Education and Merit have signed a new agreement protocol that defines the methods of collaboration for the promotion of financial education in schools. The agreement aims to strengthen the skills of students and their educational orientation, in accordance with the new regulatory framework that has included financial education in civic education.

The Protocol confirms and strengthens the joint commitment of the Bank of Italy and the Ministry of Education and Merit in this area, consolidating a collaborative path launched in 2007. On the basis of the agreement, the Bank of Italy undertakes to develop training courses for teachers, to provide educational materials for teachers and students, to offer training initiatives for school-work and to support and organize competitions for schools, such as the prize “Let us make a banknote”.
