ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The assembly of consortia of the National Coordination Centre Pile and Accumulators – the body that operates to ensure the separate collection, correct treatment and recovery of battery waste at national level – has renewed the social offices of the governance of the CDCNPA for the next exercise and has confirmed Laura Castelli, general manager of the consortium Erion Energy, as president. The assembly of national representatives of the CDCNPA consists of 16 consortia of which 14 collective and two individual systems. Following the renewal, the Executive Committee which will hold the President in his office during this year is composed of: Alberto Canni Ferrari, Consorzio Erp Italia; Giancarlo Dezio, Consorzio Ecolight; Giuliano Maddalena, Consorzio Ecopower; Michele Priori, Consorzi Cobat.
“I wish to express a sincere thanks to the Assembly for the trust accorded to me with this confirmation. This is an important signal, which enhances a path built together and a method of work based on comparison, collaboration and teamwork, proved capable of producing concrete results for the whole system – says Laura Castelli, president of the National Coordination Centre Pile and Accumulators –. The imminent publication of the decree on batteries represents the fruit of an intense collective work carried out over the last two years and shows how the collaboration within our system is decisive. At the same time, we are aware that this goal is a point of departure and not of arrival: the road towards the achievement of the collection objectives set by the European Union requires a constant commitment and a capacity of continuous evolution”.
“It is with this spirit – he adds – that I continue my commitment to the guide of the CDCNPA, to accompany the sector in the regulatory transition, in the evolution of the collection models and in the necessary strengthening of the institutional and operational architecture that awaits us also during this year”.
Laura Castelli has built its professional path in the field of environment and sustainability. After graduating in Environmental Sciences at the University of Milan-Bicocca, he moved the first steps in Aecom, an international company specialized in environmental consultancy. She then entered the world of extensive responsibility systems of the manufacturer, working as Operations specialist in the consortium Ecolamp. He then worked in Lloyd’s Register, an English certification body active in Italy, dealing with environmental standards, quality and health and safety at work. In 2018 he took over the role of Operations Manager B2C in Ecodom and later served as Operations Manager within Erion Compliance Organization. Since 2022, the manager is the general manager of the consortium Erion Energy, dedicated to the management of waste of batteries and accumulators, contributing in the forefront to the development of more sustainable and efficient models for the circular economy.
