Bernini inaugurates new university hub in Caivano “Symbol of rebirth”

CAIVANO (NAPLES) (ITALPRESS) – The Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, inaugurated the new University Pole in Caivano. This morning the opening ceremony of the academic year of the two new degree programs that will be housed within the facility: Motor Sciences of the ‘Parthenopè University and Nursing Sciences of the ‘Luigi Vanvitellì University.The ceremony was attended by Fabio Ciciliano, Head of the Department of Civil Protection and Government Extraordinary Commissioner for the Rehabilitation and Redevelopment of the Caivano area; Michele di Bari, Prefect of Naples; Filippo Dispenza, Extraordinary Commissioner of the Municipality of Caivano; and Marianna Salierno, Metropolitan Councilor of Naples with responsibility for school planning and school construction with reference to the territory of the Municipality of Naples and the municipalities of the northern area.Also welcoming the Minister were Antonio Garofalo and Italo Angelillo, Rector of the University of Naples ‘Parthenopè and Deputy Pro-rector of the University of Campania ‘Luigi Vanvitellì. “I have always said that the government is in Caivano to stay, and today we are proving it with facts,” stressed Minister Anna Maria Bernini. “The commitment is kept. This day is a symbol of rebirth. Study, education, culture and art are the keys to redemption for the future. And the university, with its mission of redevelopment and social growth, today becomes a bridge to a fairer, stronger tomorrow, full of opportunities for all. “The facility will then host art restoration workshops and cultural and artistic projects for the securing of works of art to be developed in the Caivano area by the ‘Suor Orsola Benincasà University and the “Accademia di Belle Artì of Naples. The ‘Federico II’ University has started the process to prepare an Urban regeneration factory at the ‘former slaughterhouse complex’.The inauguration of the new Caivano University Pole was held at the closing ceremony of the ‘Festival of Science, Arts, Cultures and Sports’ at the Milani Comprehensive Institute, also in Caivano. The Festival was launched last year by the Ministry of Universities and Research to strengthen orientation action aimed at local male and female students with the aim of presenting opportunities for university education and strengthening the fight against school dropout.The MUR has allocated, through the so-called Caivano Decree, the total sum of 6 million euros: one million to carry out orientation actions and five for the redevelopment of real estate to be used for academic activities.The work to identify the spaces in which to build the new University Pole was carried out with the collaboration of the government commissioner structure.- photo: screenshot from video press office Mur -(ITALPRESS).
