ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The blue captain Tathiana Garbin has issued the list of players summoned for the challenge to Japan, valid as a qualifying tie to the Billie Jean King Cup Finals by Gainbridge 2026. The match is scheduled on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th April next to the fields on land beaten by the Colle degli Dei sports complex in Velletri. This is the list of players called: Lucia Bronzetti, Elisabetta Cocciaretto, Sara Errani, Tyra Caterina Grant, Jasmine Paolini.

Japan, currently n°10 of the ITF ranking for nations, is on the first round of the 2026 competition after reaching for two consecutive years the final quarters of the Finals. For Velletri’s commitment to the bi-campionesses of the world in office, the Japanese captain Ai Sugiyama called the following players: Shuko Aoyama (n° 50 of the WTA double ranking), Nao Hibino (n° 175 of the WTA single ranking), Eri Hozumi (n° 35 of the WTA double ranking), Himeno Sakatsume (n° 136 of the WTA single ranking), Moyuka Uchijima (n° 77 of the WTA single ranking)
