CATANIA (ITALPRESS) – Catania State Police, under the delegation of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Etna Anti-Mafia District Directorate, executed, an order for the application of precautionary measures, issued by the G.I.P. of the Court of Catania, against 18 people. They are charged with murder aggravated by mafia purposes, mafia-type association (Santangelo clan of Adrano and Mazzei clan intended “carcagnusi” of Catania), illegal carrying and possession of firearms aggravated by the purpose of facilitating the mafia association to which they belong. The results of the investigations would have made it possible to identify the material executors of a murder committed in 2016 as well as people called to hold top positions in the Santangelo clan of Adrano and the fringe of the Mazzei clan of Catania operating in the Adrano area.
