PARMA (ITALPRESS) – After three defeats in as many matches, Pecchia’s Parma rediscovered the joy of three points, winning at the last gasp against Monza, thanks to Valenti’s goal. At the Tardini, the Crociati overcame the Brianza outfit 2-1, making the debut of the newly appointed coach, Salvatore Bocchetti, bitter. The goals all come in the second half and bear the signatures of Hernani (on a penalty kick) and Valenti in full recovery for Parma; in Monza – which plays well, but pays dearly for several defensive ingenuities and numerical inferiority from 54′ – Pereira scores instead. On the other side, the hosts only made themselves dangerous with a few restarts. In the second half the music changes when Pecchia decides to immediately insert Bonny to give more vitality to the Crusaders’ attack. The substitution seems to pay off: at 52′, after Var review, La Penna whistles penalty for contact between Coulibaly and Marì: the latter, moreover, is sent off for double admonition. From the penalty spot goes Hernani who seals the 1-0, despite Turati’s touch. Monza does not like it and tries to react at 58′: the guests, however, are not even lucky and for the third time they see a goal annulled, this time for offside by Djuric. Parma tries to manage the result, however, troubling the opponent’s defense: at 76′ the Var is still the protagonist, taking away the second penalty of the day from the Emiliani. Despite the man down and a lot of bad luck, the Monza’s stubbornness is eventually rewarded. At 85′, in fact, newcomers Martins and Pereira build the action of the draw: the 2005 class serves a perfect assist to the Portuguese who scores the 1-1 from two steps. The game now seemed to be headed for a draw, but at the last second Parma got the upper hand: from a corner, Valenti headed it in and made it 2-1.
