CAGLIARI (ITALPRESS) – Mauro Abis, 60, a paraglider who had been missing since late yesterday evening, Wednesday, March 26, between Scivu and Capo Pecora, in the territory of Arbus, was found lifeless. The search, which began immediately after the report, continued unabated throughout the night, involving the Cagliari command fire department, supported by specialized units.

This morning, the search operation involved the ground team of the Sanluri detachment, along with SAF (Speleo Alpino Fluviale) personnel, Divers, SAPRs (Sistemi Aeromobili a Pilotaggio Remoto) and canine units, with the support of the Drago 148 helicopter. Also on the scene was the Guard Officer in charge of coordinating rescue operations.

Around 11 a.m., the Drago 148 helicopter spotted a body on the cliff near Scivu beach. Immediately, a mountain rescue doctor was helicoptered to the scene, who could only report the death. Recovery of the body was carried out by the same helicopter, which then transported the body ashore. (ITALPRESS).
