Bologna also wins in Turin, granata beaten 2-0

TURIN (ITALPRESS) – At the Olimpico Grande Torino, Bologna won its sixth victory in the last eight matches and continued its climb up the standings. Italiano’s boys, in fact, won 2-0 against Vanoli’s Granata, thanks to goals by Dallinga and Pobega, all in the second half. After the substantial balance of the first half, the Emilian formation legitimized its success in the second half, attacking with more conviction.
In the opening, at 8′, Bologna immediately had a chance to put the match on the descent. After Var review, in fact, referee Piccinini noticed the contact in the area between Sosa and Holm, conceding the penalty to the guests. From the eleven meters, however, Castro kicked centrally, thus having his conclusion parried by an alert Milinkovic-Savic. At the end of the fraction, the Serbian goalkeeper also blocked Dominguez’s diagonal shot without any problems. Toro, on the other hand, came close to scoring in 26′, thanks to Sosa’s counter-balance attempt, off by a few meters. At 35′, moreover, the granata found themselves dealing with the injury of Walukiewicz, who was very sore in the rib and came out on a stretcher. At the beginning of the second half, Italiano wasted no time and immediately inserted Fabbian and Orsolini in place of Ferguson and Dominguez in an attempt to increase their team’s offensive production. Bologna now pressed persistently in the opponent’s midfield, while Torino continued to play a purely defensive game based on restarts. In 61′ Pobega almost hit a eurogoal from the distance with his left hander, hitting the crossbar. The goal of the red and blue, however, is now in the air and arrives thanks to the newly arrived Dallinga. The former Toulouse, in fact, takes just twenty seconds to seal the 1-0, bagging from two steps Miranda’s assist. From this moment Vanoli’s boys disappeared from the match, struggling to sketch a minimal reaction. In the 80th minute Bologna then closed it out with Pobega, author of a precise low shot: the goal, initially annulled for offside, was validated thanks to Var. Thanks to this success, the Emiliani rise to seventh place in the league, bypassing Milan. Toro, on the other hand, remains 11th, struggling to find continuity. And as has become customary in home matches, there was no shortage of chants of protest from the Marathon curve against the Cairo presidency.
