Bosch Italy for Christmas supports foundation ASPHI Onlus with project “play-Able”

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – This Christmas the Bosch Group in Italy launches “Play-Able – For a new level of accessibility”, the social responsibility initiative created in collaboration with Fondazione ASPHI Onlus, which for over forty years promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities through the use of digital technologies. The consoles have been one of the most desired gifts of young people for years on Christmas holidays. With Play-Able, Bosch intends to make this desire accessible to those who, due to physical or cognitive barriers, are often excluded. The project provides, in fact, the donation of personalized gaming stations to children with disabilities. These positions, designed and adapted by ASPHI Onlus Foundation, combine different types of technologies and aids to allow you to play with greater autonomy, develop digital skills and stay connected, beyond barriers.
The aids, accompanied by a training course for families, will be tools not only for entertainment, but also for learning, communication and participation, useful in school and daily life. Video games and digital technologies, often considered pure entertainment, become an invitation to discover new possibilities, have fun, share interests and open up to new relationships.
“Digital accessibility is one of the most urgent challenges of our society. Technology must be a bridge, not an obstacle. With Play-Able we want to demonstrate that technology is not only technical innovation, but a means to promote inclusion and sociality. This is the deep meaning of our corporate payoff ‘Technology for Vity: offer real opportunities that overcome barriers, create new connections and improve the quality of people’s lives, in every context,” said Renato Lastaria, General Manager Bosch Group in Italy.
“Projects such as Play-Able confirm the importance of building networks between organizations, companies and communities, to promote a culture accessible to all, in which everyone can fully express their potential. In this sense, the collaboration between the ASPHI Onlus Foundation and Bosch becomes a vehicle of social participation, in which innovation is placed at the service of people, generating new opportunities”, commented Andrea Pontremoli, President Fondazione ASPHI Onlus.
As evidence of a commitment involving the whole corporate community, to receive the positions will be young people resident in the territories where the Italian offices of Bosch are located, who will have the opportunity to receive not only a Christmas gift, but a useful tool for their everyday life.
In addition to the donation to support the Onlus, Bosch Italia launches a communication campaign on the company’s social and internal channels, with the aim of raising public awareness about digital inclusion. Partner and ambassador of the initiative is Favij, a pseudonym of Lorenzo Ostuni, one of the most respected and beloved creators in Italy. Youtuber, a pioneer of online gaming and a symbol of a generation grown with digital culture, Favij puts his voice and experience at the service of Play-Able, to tell the value of inclusion through the universal language of video game. Cult of the project is December 3rd, International Day of People with Disabilities, with the launch of a video dedicated to Play-Able, a story of emotions, dreams and new possibilities open from accessible gaming.
“Through the collaboration with ASPHI Onlus Foundation and the involvement of our corporate community, we want to help build a future where everyone can feel active in society. Play-Able reflects our way of understanding the game as a tool that can create authentic connections and spread positive values. The video of our communication campaign wants to be an invitation to look at technology with new eyes, a key to unlocking their skills,” concluded Giuditta Piedilato, Director of Communication and Public Relations Bosch Italy.
Bosch, who has always been the head of a public utility foundation, aims to improve the lives of present and future generations, promoting a fair and inclusive society and acting responsibly and sustainable also through the initiatives he chooses to support. With Play-Able, the company confirms its commitment to combining technological innovation and social responsibility, demonstrating that technology is, first of all, an instrument of freedom, relationship and growth. For many its potentials are discounted, but for others they can become real game changer. For Bosch, each circuit, every pixel and every digital pulse is a bridge towards a more accessible and human future. Because technology must not only simplify life, it must also make it accessible to everyone.
