VENICE (ITALPRESS) – It was presented today, at the Biennale Match Point Arena del Lido di Venezia, as part of the official program of the Venice Production Bridge of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, “La Nobile Arte”.
It is a documentary dedicated to the history and evolution of Italian boxing, directed by Vincenzo Lamagna, born from an idea by Michela Pellegrini and Stefano Buttafuoco, produced by Antonio Palmieri for Nexting, in collaboration with Rai Documentari and with the support of the Italian Pugilistic Federation.
To mark the story of “La Nobile Arte” are ten rounds, through which one hundred and ten years of Italian boxing become equal points of observation on society, culture and values of sport. “The boxing is probably one of the most inspired sports in cinema. Inside a ring there is never only a fight: there are sacrifices, fear, ransom, defeat and ability to rise beyond every limit”, said Stefano Buttafuoco.
“It was particularly exciting for me to work for this work. The boxing gave me a lot, I had long felt the desire to return the good received and this docufilm is a tribute to the magic of boxing”, added Stefano Buttafuoco.
