LOS ANGELES (UNITED STATES) (ITALPRESS) – Former heavyweight champion George Foreman has died at age 76. “Our hearts are broken. With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr, who passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. A devoted preacher, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He lived a life marked by unwavering faith and humility,” the family’s words on the former boxer’s instagram page with which they announced his passing. Foreman in 1973 won the world title by dethroning JoeFrazier. This was followed by two title defenses and his first professional defeat suffered in the famous “The Rumble in the Jungle” at the hands of Muhammad Ali.
