ROMA (ITALPRESS) – former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro was arrested. The Federal Police did not reveal the reason for the arrest and, in a statement, claimed to have executed “a prior arrest warrant in accordance with a decision of the Federal Supreme Court”, as reported by O Globo.
According to the newspaper, the Brazilian Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes would have ordered the prior detention of Bolsonaro following a request from the Federal Police for violation of a precautionary measure. This is not the case of detention resulting from its conviction for the coup d’état, which is not yet definitive.
