Brescia defeated 3-1, Monza in the round of 16 with Bologna

MONZA (ITALPRESS) – Monza’s first official win in the Coppa Italia this season arrived, after three draws in Serie A and the one in regulation time against Sudtirol. The Brianzoli annihilated Brescia and defeated them 3-1 in the Italian Cup round of 16, passing the round. Nesta changed the face of his Monza, favoring the away match in Naples and fielding few starters: among those confirmed were Carboni, Pessina and Kyriakopoulos. Despite the many variations, the brianzoli dominated from the starting blocks and overwhelmed a non-performing Brescia. The rondinelle risked after four minutes, when Caldirola hit the crossbar, and were hit at 5′. It was thanks to the amazing overlap of Kevin Maussi Martins, class of 2005 and son of former Inter player Obafemi (Oba-Oba to everyone): penetrating acceleration and ball in the middle for Kyriakopoulos, who kicks with the counter-balance and leaves Andrenacci no chance. The Greek, the assist-man in the 2-0 move that came in 12′ with Pessina’s framing, is one of the best on the field right with the son of the gun. Martins sets the right lane on fire, Brescia does not react and Andrenacci has to patch up the disastrous defensive performance of his team, which risks the boarding and fails to make themselves dangerous. There’s only Monza on the field, with the trio of penalties (Caprari, 40′) and the near poker: Forson and Pessina slam on the goalkeeper’s deflections. In the second half, here’s a triple change for both. Nesta thinks about Napoli and replaces the starters (Carboni, Kyriakopoulos and Pessina), Maran tries to give the breakthrough by changing module with Corrado and Nuamah. The latter is the man of the small turning point for the rondinelle, who find no opposition from their rivals and raise their center of gravity in the second half. After twenty one-sided minutes, here was the goal that shortened the distance for Brescia: Juric’s bank, Nuamah skipped past Pizzignacco and deposited the 3-1 into the unguarded goal. Monza reacts with another chance for Forson, but Andrenacci is alert and keeps the result. A chance on each side in the recovery, with missed goals by Forson and Valoti, then the curtain falls on a match that said very little in its second half. It ends 3-1, and Monza gets itself the round of 16 of the Coppa Italia: it will take on Bologna. Nesta reinforces his bench and now prepares for the toughest challenge: stopping Antonio Conte’s Napoli in the Maradona’s away match and blocking another big, after the draw against Inter at the U-Power Stadium.- Photo Image -(ITALPRESS).
