ROME (ITALPRESS) – From Vichy, France, came a beautiful bronze by Alice Betto competing alongside fellow Italian Verena Steinhauser at the Europe Triathlon Championships. The Italian finished behind Britain’s Vicky Holland, gold, and home favorite Leonie Periault, silver. “I am overjoyed with this podium, I wanted it so much and I tried with all my strength to get it – the words of Alice Betto – I led a head race since the swimming fraction and then controlled until the running fraction.
