Business deals between government and Musk, 1 in 2 Italians opposed

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Elon Musk’s choices and actions have often been at the center of public debate. In recent times, also as a result of political support for Donald Trump, the newly elected president of the United States, his entry into the U.S. government and rumors of probable agreements to spread his Starlink project to our country as well, the debate has also involved the political sphere at different levels. In general, almost half of the Italian population (47.1 percent) is against the possibility of making business deals between our government and Elon Musk. An opinion that sharply divides the sample politically: while on the one hand, voters of the major opposition parties confirm their opposition to the agreement, supporters of the government parties view the spread of Starlink in our country with approval. Overall, regardless of any agreement, just under 2 out of 3 Italians (60.6%) perceive in Elon Musk’s actions interference in our country and, for the majority of citizens, these interventions are a negative factor. Interference that, whether positive or negative, is confirmed across the board by voters of all parties, with the exception of those of Fratelli d’Italia, who do not see Musk’s proposals and words as meddling in our national affairs.
