MILAN (ITALPRESS) – In Italy in December 2025, BYD has taken a further significant step forward, overcoming some of the most famous historical brands in the Italian market marked by a long legacy and strong presence on the territory. BYD has been able to assert itself, highlighting how its vision, its strategy, and its increasingly European products bring tangible benefits to customers, market and environment. All this also thanks to the rapid expansion of the sales and service network that today counts 101 points on all the national territory, led by 30 important Italian dealers.
BYD has consolidated its position among the leading manufacturers in Italy, ending the month of December with a market share of 3.1%, 3.347 registrations, placing itself in the Top 10 among vehicle manufacturers in Italy, exclusively thanks to the sale of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. This is a result that not only highlights the strength and solidity of the growth of the brand, but also makes it the only Chinese brand in Italy to achieve this goal, without relying on thermal motor vehicles. This element distinguishes it not only from all European brands, but also from all other Chinese brands that operate on the market and which also have thermal cars in their range.
The December figure brings BYD to an annual total of 25,226 registrations, about 10 times more than the 2.881 of 2024, reaching a share of well 1.5% and thus confirming itself as the first brand in Italy in the vehicle market in New Energia (Elettrico and Plug-In Hybrid) with a share of 15.4% in December and an annual share of 12.3%. The solid performance in the private channel, emphasizes the increasing appreciation by Italian customers for the mobility solutions offered by the brand.
