MILAN (ITALPRESS) – More autonomy, renewed design, greater safety, latest technology and sports performance. This is how the new Atto 3 Evo by BYD, the electric sports SUV that aims to offer an even more complete and in line with the real needs of customers. The intervention involved powertrain, architecture, efficiency and on-board equipment, with a deep update in every aspect. Two versions: Design and Excellence. The main difference concerns power, performance and integral traction, but both offer particularly complete series features. Design, rear-wheel drive, is equipped with a 313 hp rear motor (230 kW) and 380 Nm torque, for a 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and a combined WLTP range up to 510 km.Excellence, full-wheel drive, adds a front engine, for a total proposed power of 449 hp (330 kW) and 560 Nm tor, with acceleration only 0-100 km/h The heart of the new Atto 3 Evo is the 74.8 kWh battery, which allows up to 510 km in the WLTP cycle. On the front of the charging, the Act 3 Evo passes from 10 to 80% in 25 minutes thanks to the power in continuous current up to 220 kW, made possible by the electrical architecture to 500 volts. The latest infotainment system is based on a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, with integrated Google services such as Google Maps, Google Play Store and Google Assistant. On the security front, Atto 3 Evo includes a complete equipment of driving assistance systems, including seven airbags, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), front and rear cross traffic warning system, Blind Spot Detection, lane maintenance assistance, front and rear collision alert, road signal recognition and intelligent speed limit control. But also more practicality and more comfort. The load capacity reaches 490 liters, expandable up to 1,360 liters by lowering the rear seats. It also debuts a new front compartment (“frunk”) of 101 liters, ideal for storing charging cables or small luggage. Inside, the cabin appears even more airy thanks to the shift of the gear selector from the central tunnel to the steering column. Here comes a new 8.8 inch digital instrumentation, high quality materials and a further endowment enriched with typical contents of higher segments, such as the head-up display and heated rear seats. “This is the first car that was born specifically on request of the European market, due to characteristics of inhabitability and performance. And it is the first mainstream machine that addresses the speech of charging times by moving the competition in this segment compared to the competition”, said BYD’s special advisor for European Market, Alfredo Altavilla during the presentation. “BYD is the first Chinese manufacturer to have the concept of a portfolio for Europe different from that for the domestic market: this reflects the flexibility with which the company looks at the European market,” he added. “What we present today is not a simple restyling of the previous Act 3, but a completely new model. We are talking about a car with advanced technological solutions signed BYD.We introduce a rear-wheel drive model, which is flanked by the integral, we bring to Act 3 Evo Cell-to-Body technology, up to the fast charging capable of bringing the battery from 10 to 80% in 25 minutes”, said the country manager for BYD and Denza Italia, Alessandro Grosso. “This is therefore a new European concept of sports SUVs in a mainstream market for all. The price also reflects this strategy of democratization of electricity: 37,600 euros for the Design version and 45,100 euros for the Excellence set up,” he added. “Action 3 Evosiziona in the segment C-SUV, the second most important in Italy.
