ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In November BYD reached an important milestone with 3.524 registrations, conquering a record market share of 2.8% and placing at the 15th place overall in the overall ranking. This result shows a significant and rapid progress: in only 15 months of structured presence on the Italian market, BYD has recorded an increase of more than 500%, which is also reflected in the cumulation 2025, with about 22,000 registrations in the first 11 months, without relying on vehicles with thermal engines in its range.
“To reach this market share in Italy, other Asian and European brands have taken up to 15 years – explains BYD in a note –. This result of BYD in Italy was also achieved thanks to the expansion strategy of the sales network, which by the end of the year will see the opening of 100 stores on the territory. A plan of expansion, together with the network of after-sales and distribution spare parts, which aims to structurally strengthen the presence of the brand and to make its vehicles even more accessible to Italians.” BYD is a leader in the hybrid industry, where the DM-i Super Hybrid range continues to be successful. In this context, the ATTO 2 is strongly positioned DM-i, the new compact SUV developed ad hoc for the European market, which is able to offer a total autonomy up to 1,000 km, combining the efficiency of an electric vehicle with the support of a hybrid engine that allows you to face long travel without worries.
One of the main protagonists of these results is the BYD DOLPHIN SURF, the most sold electric car in Italy. The only electric city car to have got the 5 stars EURO NCAP, which attest its high level of safety, but also the presence of the Blade Battery, the only one to have it in its category that gives it a unique duration and resistance in the segment. The DOLPHIN SURF is an increasingly popular choice for those looking for a safe, ecological and performing car. In the fully electric vehicle segment, BYD consolidated its first place, with a 17.2% share.
The performance in the electrified market (including both electric and hybrid vehicles) is equally positive, with a monthly share of 14.8%, confirming the solidity of the brand, which continues to grow even in the annual cumulation, where it reaches 11.9%, with approximately 22,000 registrations. Also at European level, in November, BYD continues its climb. In Spain, 2,932 units were registered, with a market share of 3.1%, in Germany, registered 4.030 units, reaching a market share of 1.6%, further consolidating its position. In the UK, the brand registered 4,604 registrations, with a market share of 3.05%.
