BYD’s DM-i, don’t call it plug-in

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – BYD redefines the concept of plug-in hybrid with DM-i Super Hybrid technology: a system that guarantees constant electric traction and a driving experience very close to that of a 100% electric vehicle.

Unlike traditional plug-ins, the thermal engine only comes into play when serving extra power or high speeds, while in everyday life it is almost always zero emissions.
This ensures excellent performance, for example thanks to the latest generation Blade Battery, the SEAL 6 DM-i offers up to 105 km of electricity and, with a full charging and a full fuel, a total autonomy up to 1.505 km. Combined consumption drops to only 1.5 L/100 km, numbers that make it a concrete alternative not only to traditional hybrids, but also to petrol cars. Under real urban conditions, more than 80% of the routes are carried out in purely electrical traction.

Performance and efficiency go hand in hand: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 9 seconds and a maximum speed of 180 km/h, all with the fluidity typical of the electric guide. And it does not end here: the DM-i technology also integrates the Vehicle to Load function (V2L), which allows to power external devices up to 3.3 kW, from the portable grill to the computer, from decorative lights to the air compressor. A solution designed for those who love to travel without sacrificing comfort and versatility. With DM-i, BYD once again demonstrates that innovation is not made of compromises: efficiency, performance and advanced technology can live in a single car.
