Caprari responds to Engelhardt: 1-1 in Como-Monza derby

COMO (ITALPRESS) – Como and Monza don’t know how to win anymore and remain embroiled in the standings. At the Sinigaglia the Lombardy derby ends 1-1, thanks to one goal per half: Engelhardt’s header goal was answered by Caprari on a penalty kick. The match turns out to be balanced and also very entertaining to watch, but Como and Monza still confirm the flaws glimpsed in this first part of the championship. From the very first minutes both formations play the match with an open face, with intensity and without fears despite the worrying ranking. At the end of the first half, the tally of goal chances smiles on the hosts, definitely quicker in triggering their offensive players. At 4′ an inspired Fadera came close to taking the lead with a right-footed shot that was just outside the box. Como’s lead came at 36′ on the development of a corner, taken by Strefezza. After Goldaniga’s spurt, following a rebound the ball reached Engelhardt who, again with a header, made it 1-0. At the beginning of the resumption, however, Monza is preferred in terms of approach. Helping the Brianzoli’s recovery was Nico Paz, author of a heavy ingenuity on an opponent’s cross. The Spanish fantasist jumps, in fact, in a disjointed manner, intercepting Pablo Marì’s attempted cross with his very wide arm. After Var review, referee Sacchi indicated the penalty spot: Caprari thus sealed the 1-1 by dispatching Reina. The two teams look for the victory blow, but in the final inevitably fatigue takes over as well. In general, it is Monza to attack more dangerously, exploiting above all the weapon of the cross. In the recovery simply everything happens and both teams have a chance to win the game. In 93′ Djuric, on a splendid heel assist from Maldini, peeks behind the Como defense and, in the split, graces Reina, sending high a sensational goal ball. A minute later it was the hosts’ turn, but Belotti’s header finished high. The draw is a result that ultimately does not please either team. Como and Monza, in fact, find themselves after fourteen days in the relegation zone, respectively (pending the other matches) in third-last and penultimate place.- Photo Ipa Agency -(ITAPRESS).
